Unlike conventional stoneware, Flameware can be used directly over gas flame or electric burner. Food may be cooked, served, and even frozen in the same vessel. Delicate sauces will stay hot at the table; a pie or quiche can be served in its original baking dish; tomato sauce and soups can be simmered for hours on the stove top. Unlike metal cookware, Flameware releases no molecules to alter food's taste or nutritional value. The glazes used on Flameware do not contain lead. To preserve the finish on your Flameware pot, always use a little oil or other liquid when heating. Add more when needed to keep surface coated. Dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe.
