I love polka dots, sweet tea and cute parties, especially all three simultaneously! HollyDays was officially opened in 2006 out of my love of drawing and creating whimsical paper goods. When I first started HollyDays, I was a young married, twenty-something still working a full-time job in Marketing at a retirement community where part of my responsibility was to help create events and invitations catered to senior citizens. It was there where I fell in love with design, as I was creating open house, pancake breakfasts and Elvis impersonator show invitations. Each evening, I was coming home drawing, creating, cutting paper, counting invitations, packaging and shipping. In early 2008, I left my full-time Marketing job to dedicate more time to creating and fulfilling orders. It has truly been a blessing ever since. Over the years, my love for paper and parties has grown, just as my family has. I now have a three-year-old daughter, Karidyn, and if you ask her, she is ready for another baby around here! We’ll see what happens. A huge thank you to my husband who keeps everything looking nice around here… if it were up to me, I’d just be passing out cute pieces of paper, html code is WAY beyond my realm of expertise. Also, a huge thank you to my mother who inspired my passion to create with our weekly Craft Days as I was growing up. I did love those days so much more than Clean House Day. Also, thank you to all our friends and family who have helped encourage, travel to set up MANY craft booths and fold thousands (felt like millions, I know!) note cards. I don’t know what I would do without you. Thank you to my daughter who truly believes she works at HollyDays, even though she’s only three! She makes my days fun and filled with laughter.Thank you for visiting us, we hope you will find this a fun, creative place where you can gain party inspiration as well as exactly what you need for your next celebration. The perfectionist I am cannot find a proper way to begin this introduction. I started typing a line that began with ‘y’all’ which seems to flow right off my tongue these days, but seems so strange to type. I am a transplant to the south, I grew up in a suburb outside of San Francisco, so I have acquired a new vocabulary that includes ‘y’all’, ‘yes ma’am’, and ‘War Eagle’. I am a graduate of Auburn University where I majored in Elementary Education. While in Auburn I fell in love with many things, including my husband. I also discovered a love for the south; it’s traditions, values, history, and people. The south suits me just right. I am extremely organized, creative, sometimes sarcastic, a rule follower, a planner, a Christian, a wife, and a mother to a little boy. I am also an employee at HollyDays, which also happens to suit me just right. I was looking for something to do as a creative outlet after I had decided to stay home with my son, Tucker. (something other than laundry, cooking, and cleaning, all of which I happen to really enjoy, well most of the time, and mostly the cooking) At HollyDays I work on the proofing, packaging and planning. I am so excited about what the future holds here at HollyDays, meantime I will be busy planning for it!
