Our breads start their day hours and hours before dawn and are prepared by Master Baker, Corey Hinkel in collaboration with Head Chef, Chris Dupont. They began working together many years ago when Corey was providing the breads for Chris's first restaurant Cafe Dupont. Even then, they knew that they would one-day work together in a shared kitchen. Now they work hand-in-hand to produce some of the best-tasting breads and sandwiches in Birmingham.
Every loaf is prepared at our downtown cafe according to old-world standards and rushed to the store shelves the very same day. But it's our commitment born from the love of good food and great ingredients – natural and local – that creates these breads we call ours.
