Founder - Jeff Brown, 2013. Born 1959. Experience: 42+ years, including 3 sports (football, baseball, track), and 10 years in Kung-Fu training, and Tai Chi teacher for the Arthritis Foundation 2005. My system re-tools the body to follow the mind. As a former athlete and teacher, my accumulated knowledge was put together to train any athlete or team. NCTS is a 5 stage system for those 8 to 88, and can be done seated, for those who have balance issues. Weight training is also part of the system. As a seasoned (senior) citizen myself, it is important to keep moving. The aging process is for most a monster, that most of the time cannot be tamed. As we age, our joints "freeze up" and movement can become difficult.

One of my former teachers was Dr. Paul Lamb, world famous Sun style Tai Chi instructor and first Western gold medal winner 1995.  He taught that Tai Chi has been shown to improve the movement of the student, and can reverse some affects of arthritis. I also have studied Snake style Kung-Fu, praying mantis and free style Tai Chi. I created the "crane walk" in 2005. This is a 45 movement practice to re-coordinate the body and help with movement. 

A one time class, upper body Bo Staff training, is $15.00. This price is good in the Birmingham area only. I welcome sports teams and athletic departments as well as individuals.
